What color should I paint my accent wall?
The other walls are painted with Bahia Grass (Benjamin Moore http://www.materials-world.com/paint-colors/pittsburgh_paints/pittsburgh-paint-25.htm) BTW the color looks wrong on my monitor so please keep that in mind.
I’m using aubergine velvet window panels for the closet door and a dark plum sheer panel for the window. The duvet is camel ultraseude and I have 2 euro shams in a multi color velvet floral that has a green darker than my walls, a purple lighter than my curtain panels and a brown darker than the duvet plus other greens, purples, blues, reds and rusts. The pillows are gorgeous and I finally get to use them!
I’m leaning toward a camel color that will match the duvet and wil set off the color and gold beading of the sheer panel. Or should I just skip the idea of an accent wall and paint it green. Or something else like a white?
Consider that most of the wall may eventually have bookcases on either side of the window. They will be painted the same color as that wall.
Just look at nature, each season has specific colors that contrast and enhance the scenery. It’s good to pick a contrasting color for an accent wall, or pickup a color from some item in the room, like your duvet. That sounds great! I’m ready to paint an accent wall myself in my family room. I love earth tones and lots of plants.
